Hi, I’m Brandi.

I’m the person behind Made by JB McGee—a disabled, female-owned brand built around handwritten design, storytelling, and creating tools people can actually use in real life.

I started with writing.

Before I ever designed a font, I was focused on storytelling—learning how words, when they’re placed with intention, can build something vivid and immersive for the reader. That same attention to detail eventually carried over into how I saw lettering.

Over time, that led me into hand lettering.

I began paying close attention to the way letters connect, how spacing changes the feel of a word, and how something as simple as handwriting can shape the way a message is received. Hand lettering became a natural extension of the way I already thought about words.

From there, I started designing fonts.

My lettering is usually the starting point—each font grows out of that process, turning something handwritten into something others can use in their own work.

My fonts are made to feel natural and easy to use. Clean, but not stiff. Structured, but still human.

My books are an extension of that same idea—handwritten in a different form, where words are shaped to paint something clear and vivid in the reader’s mind.

I create with real people in mind. Teachers who need materials that feel engaging but still practical. Small business owners who want their work to feel personal without sacrificing quality. Creators who care about the details. And readers who want to feel something when they sit down with a story.

Living with a disability has shaped how I approach all of this. It’s made me more intentional, more aware of accessibility, and more focused on creating things that are not just good-looking, but genuinely usable.

Everything I make comes back to the same idea:

Where handwritten meets design.

MY MISSION

Made by JB McGee is built on the idea that how something is written matters just as much as what it says.

What started with handwritten design has grown into a collection of fonts, stories, and creative resources designed to feel natural, usable, and true to real work.

Every piece—whether it’s a font or a novel—comes from the same place: a focus on clarity, expression, and connection.

The fonts are clean and intentional, made to be used in everyday projects without feeling generic.

The stories are an extension of that same process—words shaped and woven together to create something visual in the reader’s mind.

They’re different formats, but the same foundation: handwritten expression meeting thoughtful desig

This work is made for more than just designers.

It’s for teachers creating materials that need to feel engaging and approachable.

It’s for small business owners who want their work to feel personal but still polished.o

It’s for creators who care about the details.

And it’s for readers who connect with stories that are written with intention.

Made by JB McGee is a disabled, female-owned brand, built with accessibility and real-life usability in mind.

That means creating tools and content that don’t just look good, but actually work for the people using them—whether that’s in a classroom, a business, or a quiet moment with a book.

At its core, everything here is connected by one idea:

Where handwritten meets design isn’t just a tagline—it’s the way every font, every story, and every resource is created.
